Rafiki Coffee’s story began in 2015, when founder Ben moved to Edinburgh and struggled to find the high-quality African coffee he had grown up with in Rwanda. Inspired by the lush coffee fields of his childhood, Ben set out to bring the exceptional flavors of African coffee to a global audience. Since 2019, Rafiki Coffee has been sourcing green beans from East Africa, ensuring that every batch captures the essence of the region’s diverse coffee-growing areas.
Once the beans arrive in Edinburgh, Rafiki Coffee roasts them in small batches, using precise profiles developed in-house. This meticulous process ensures that each cup delivers the optimal flavor and aroma, showcasing the unique qualities of each origin. The result is a coffee experience that’s as vibrant and distinctive as Africa itself.
